Are you interested in curating an exhibition during the arts trail of Leytonstone Museum photographs?

Wanted: volunteer curator/s and venue/s for an ARTS TRAIL exhibition of photographs about Leytonstone! Deadline fast approaching….

Leytonstone Museum is a participatory arts project and we need your help asap! Are you interested in organising an exhibition of photographs about Leytonstone during the Leytonstone Arts Trail in July? We already have a developing archive of images and will soon be requesting additions of images about Leytonstone. The online archive requires digital image files only, but physical prints will be required for the exhibition. These new contributions can be displayed along side a selection of the current printed collection – curators can decide!

As a curator you will select from the  images submitted and will need to be available to hang the exhibition and if possible, help to arrange a venue/s before the Arts Trail’s March 31st deadline.

Venues can be homes, shops, churches, mosques, youth centres, doctors surgeries – anywhere that the public can be given access at some point during the arts trail.

Due to other commitments during arts trial, I may not able to organise a full Leytonstone Museum exhibition myself during the arts trail week but can be on hand with all the planning to support someone who would like to give it a go! I can help with suggestions for venues and will of course do the ground work to get a new collection of images ready for the show!

For more information about this or other curating opportunities please email karen@pamplinbrowne.co.uk

Examples of previous pop-up exhibitions of the Leytonstone Museum archive are on the exhibitions page and attached to the post below!

As the arts trail entries are required by the end of the month please contact me soon! karen@pamplinbrowne.co.uk
